Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread

February 16, 2010

This recipe comes to you courtesy of Musings of a Housewife and assumes that you are using a Kitchen Aid Mixer (which I believe that every person in the world should own…even those who don’t have electricity!  I couldn’t function in the kitchen without my Kitchen Aid!).  If you are looking for a yummy way [...]

Old Fashioned Chicken Pot Pie

January 19, 2010

As moms, we are always trying to cook healthy meals for our families.  But let’s face it…sometimes we just want good old-fashioned “comfort foods”.  I have been a big fan of Deep South Dish ever since Mary “spun that blog off” from My New 30.  I could just spend hours on her site drooling over her [...]

Healthy Turkey Meatballs

January 15, 2010

My recipe is not really a recipe. It started out as one (actually, it was a Weight Watchers recipe), but I have tweaked it over time and now I just kind of “throw it together” from memory. My family goes nuts for these and are so used to them they long ago stopped asking me [...]

Banana Pancakes

January 6, 2010

Need another recipe to use up those bananas that are sitting on your counter and starting to look funky? In my house, nobody will eat a banana unless it is a beautiful golden yellow without a speck of brown on the peel…and my kids won’t eat banana bread, but they WILL eat these!
I found this [...]

Carrot Muffins

December 31, 2009

On occasion, I whine complain moan mention that I just can’t get my children to eat vegetables (although that is changing soon, even if it kills me). I was hiding veggies in food even before “Deceptively Delicious” came out!
So I was thrilled when I saw my children practically inhaling some carrot muffins/cupcakes at a recent [...]
