I don’t know how this dip got the name (nor does the friend who gave me the recipe. Her father got it from the wife of an Army buddy), but this is my new all-time favorite dip! I like it more than Helluva Good French Onion dip and that’s REALLY saying something!
Ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
8 oz sour cream
1 small can (4 oz) chopped green chiles
1/4 cup Bacon Bits
1/4 tsp garlic powder (although I use 1/2 tsp…I like garlic!)
Mix all ingredients together and allow to chill for at least 2 hours for the flavors to blend.
Serve with crackers, chips or raw veggies.
(ok – and you want to know how I really like to eat it? With Nacho Cheese Doritos… although I think that there should be a rule that this dip must be renamed “White Trash Dip” when served with Doritos!)
Enjoy!
